Few Things Left Unsaid

From My Childhood I always wanted to be happy, whatever the situation is, and even the situation is something like the bereavement of a close person who was almost my life. But that was not the same in the case of loss of a close friend who was my Wikipedia, my Google, my oxford dictionary he was almost everything for me probably I was nothing without him.

I have never even had an imagination that I would lose him but on 8th June 2012 at 07:30 it happened, I lost My Father, The thing for which I’m still proud of myself is that I wrote my External exam on 9th June, And I stood as the topper in the final examinations. I still Remember the words of my father “I’ll Sign Your Report if you get first Rank in your class,” At that time didn't but finally When I did, I couldn't Tell Him.

But I'm Happy That I finally Topped.
After that everything has changed everyone were shed in tears, even today my mother cries for him. For One month it was not the same that used to be before 8th June.

Then Some miracle happened it can in the form of SAHAYA

Then suddenly on 28th July 2012, I got a call from Mr. Eshwar Babu 'the best volunteer of Sahaya' saying that I have to attend the session at ZPHS Gowdavelly, I was Very nervous because I didn't have any information regarding what happens Sahaya, But Eshwar who had utmost Confidence in me said You can do it. I was accompanied by one of my friends and I took the session for 6th class E.M. The two hours which I had spent with them were the best of my life and I still remember few of the students names who made a mark on themselves probably they were the people who stood as the reason for making my first session the best session.  After the session ended I left for my college, I boarded the bus and I couldn't get out of that and even my mind.

From that day I had a new life ‘SAHAYA.’ I would owe myself to the Society & be a part of it.

I would like to thank four people without whom there would be no SAHAYA & probably there would be no joy in my life after the incident & for making such a place for Elysian and believing in me that I could it & making this happen.

Without them I would not have revived back.

You might be wondering I said four people and there are only three people in the photograph, the fourth person is the one who took the picture ;).

As Stated In My Previous Article

Sahaya is place where you learn by Teaching Others

I Urge all my Co-Volunteers to make their Possible Count towards SAHAYA & thus making their Story. Because to write a story it's not necessary for you to be an author you can be anyone. And in SAHAYA what are you doesn't matter, what is SAHAYA to you matters.

Thank You

Steady Persevarance

The Clock is ticking towards fifth anniversary celebrations with mixed emotions by having more and more upfront challenges. However I feel embraced whenever there is an opportunity to meet all the volunteers at one place by holding all my memories together at a time.

Having been close to fifth anniversary celebrations, when I look back into the past, the responsibilities have grown twofold which are directly proportional to the benefit of each child. But this wondrous fraternity is building up with strong potpourri of experiences which can beholden on the deeds that we've gained over the last five years.

On one hand, I have felt time is passing like a photon while we constantly working towards more milestones in our Organization space. On the other, I feel it has been ages since we started SAHAYA because of the bonding we share with every patron especially with the children.

I do want to profusely thank all the volunteers where I feel that I am working with the bunch of best people I have ever worked with. Personally I would owe a lot to all the things that I had directly and indirectly learning from them.

My Core Team mates at SAHAYA, who are also a great bunch of Tutors and at the same time friends to me, irrespective of Age and location - Certainly they will continue to stay at the peaks in all seasons for all reasons. Rapturously I can say that with all your presence, my work at SAHAYA has been personally the most enriching one, sometimes on professional grounds too.

And thanks for being so patient with me and standing all the tantrums that I caused inadvertently(if any)in this long journey.

With Profound Regards
Sreeram Bh

AT SAHAYA

Last year at Mythri 2k12 I was given the job to address the event and do the anchoring. As a part of it, when i was announcing the best blog post, I promised that I would be a part of the blog with my Post in it by Mythri 2k13. So time has come to express my experiences , feelings and ideas.

Because of my family, teachers and God's grace I got good schooling and education. For several reasons i dint feel the essence of education and thought of passing  exams and hence studied for the sake of exams most of the times. Besides marks and percentages I learnt discipline and values to be followed in life. I came to know what education is really about only when I came to engineering, when I saw a few people around me.  Because of these people my way of thinking also changed. This is when I got a chance to join Sahaya.

So after joining Sahaya, while attending the sessions, I understood what opportunities I had and which I dint make proper use of during my schooling. Here I found something very interesting. Children are waiting for some one to guide them and they want to learn and didn't have proper resources. I  know the importance of what I missed, besides having all the resources in front of me. Hence I decided to be a part of Sahaya and do my best.I have never been a part of any science fair during my schooling and  hence I know what exposure and confidence we would get if we participate in events like these.

When Sahaya decided to organize science fair I felt very happy and the participation from the students was good and gave us the encouragement to organize science fair. To gain confidence we need to present our ideas in front of others and should communicate. This requires knowledge which we can be gained by learning. For learning we need guidance and this is what Sahaya has been doing since the beginning.

I never dreamt of anything in specific and hence dint had specific targets to achieve. But I learnt that an individual should dream of some thing and as we grow we should set our targets to achieve what we have dreamt. I have no clue of how we can convey this to children. Yes, we can tell them inspiring and success stories of great leaders. But some thing that is visible and practical will help them a lot . This is when Sahaya decided to organize a field trip. The field trip in 2011 at HITAM college was the happiest and most satisfying event for me at Sahaya. This field trip helped the children to see how different things work and inspired them to aim for higher education and to set a dream for themselves to invent such things and thus contribute to the society.
This is my understanding of how we can help children to realize  what education is all about and help them learn the basics through our team of Sahaya. It has been a great learning and realization of reality for me at Sahaya, that has helped me a lot to build my character and behavior.

Finally, thanks to all those brilliant brains  at Sahaya for your time, efforts and patience.

My Opinion about sahaya

I would like to thank sahaya team for inviting me for the event that is held on last saturday.I felt very happy for making this as good as possible by the volunteers of sahaya. Even I am a new guy for doing this event-they instructed me how to do it and they had given me a class for doing the event.I used to participate very actively nd I do it as well as the volunteers are very supportive. This is a good event i have done with the team and I wish to continue doing the events with sahaya.

Independence Day celebrations

Independence Day must be one of the most important days in the Indian history, But for me the 15th August 2012 Independence Day celebrations will be the most memorable event of my life.

My Experience:
On 4th August I along with few other Volunteers went to ZPHS gowdavelly, Being my first event with SAHAYA,  I was little tensed with the how the preparations are about to go, how the children would receive us? Everything was striking the chords in my brain but with the guidance of Mr. Eshwar everything seemed to go correctly.
The session started with the drawing Competition for all the high School Students. After the completion of session during collection of their Sheets I was really fascinated, mesmerized by their art.
A girl of 9th class drew ‘JANMA BHOOMI’ which even I didn’t remember,
On this note I would like to say,
‘In Sahaya We not only Teach but We also learn.’
The team work shown by them in their work was lacking in ours. So, probably I would say Team work, Time management were the two most important things I learned rather than teaching them. The Experience was really wonderful and the one with children was fabulous.

The above experiences have added much more eagerness and anticipation to the 26th January 2012 republic day celebrations. Expecting a lot of events like Skits, Role-Plays, Quiz, and Puzzles etc. I would love to volunteer in the events and if possible I would like to organize with my fellow mates.

I would like to urge all my fellow mates to take part and volunteer in the events because right from the childhood we had only known that Independence Day means hoisting of flag, distribution of eatables etc. that’s it, But that’s not what Independence Day means make the children independent i.e. to make them think on their own thus enhancing his life. Don’t make the child feel that he is intelligent make him feel that he is intellectual. Guide him in such a way that he guides and decides his future and that of the nation.

In the end I would like to thank the entire team of SAHAYA for believing in me and helping me in making this happen.

 THANK YOU.
Anirudh Kasibhatla
